Marion Edward Smith

Marion E. Smith, 71, of New Haven, passed away November 29, 2025 at his home.  He was retired from Smith and Sons Construction, and enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with his grandkids, and sitting on the front porch around the fire pit.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary Lucille Smith; along with two sisters, Carolyn and Theresa May.  He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Smith; two sons, Josh and Chad (Wendy) Smith; a daughter, Amy Smith-Cissell (Eric); five brothers, Donnie, Charlie, Bill, Joe, and Johnny; five sisters, Wanda, Mary Ellen, Marilyn, Brenda, and Louise; along with four grandchildren, Colt, Waylon, Gracie, and Abby.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.  A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven.  A private burial will take place at a later date at St. Thomas Cemetery, Bardstown.
